A pair of original series that build on long-time network (and streaming) staples made the streaming charts in their premiere weeks.

NCIS: Tony and Ziva (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/t/ncis-tony-and-ziva/) (371 million viewing minutes on Paramount+) and The Paper (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/t/the-paper/) (342 million minutes on Peacock), an indirect spinoff of The Office, ranked eighth and 10th among original streaming series for Sept. 1-7; both shows debuted Sept. 4. Their respective parent shows have been frequent residents of Nielsen’s acquired streaming shows top 10 (NCIS is 10th on the current chart), though less so for The Office since it moved from Netflix to Peacock exclusivity.

Wednesday (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/t/wednesday/) zoomed back into the top overall spot with the release of its last four episodes of season two on Sept. 3. The show drew 3.34 billion minutes of watch time, the third best weekly total of 2025 —just behind its own season premiere (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/streaming-ratings-aug-4-10-2025-1236361545/) in early August. (Squid Game’s 4.6 billion minutes in early January is No. 1.)

The previous week’s (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/streaming-ratings-aug-25-31-2025-1236386111/) top title, KPop Demon Hunters (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/t/kpop-demon-hunters/) , continued its remarkable hot streak into September but dropped to fourth overall with 1.09 billion minutes of viewing. My Life With the Walter Boys (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/t/my-life-with-the-walter-boys/) (1.13 billion minutes) and the documentary Unknown Number: The High School Catfish (1.1 billion) finished second and third behind Wednesday. The Summer I Turned Pretty hit a new high of 736 million viewing minutes on Prime Video as it moved toward its season three finale.

Disney’s box-office hit (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/lilo-and-stitch-mayhem-all-the-box-office-1236229988/) Lilo & Stitch had its streaming premiere on Sept. 3 and ranked third among movies with 803 million minutes.

Nielsen’s streaming ratings (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/t/streaming-ratings/) cover viewing on TV sets only and don’t include minutes watched on computers or mobile devices. The ratings only measure U.S. audiences, not those in other countries. The top streaming titles for Sept. 1-7, 2025, are below.
